Dude works hard, wants to play for New York and looks like Ivan Drago from Rocky.

Why should you believe me? Cause I called it with David Lee back in the day http://forums.nykfp.com/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11124&h

On the real, the grantland story about him is great

You can tell he is intelligent and with that size, shooting and athleticism I believe he will be a star. If Phil think he reminds him of Pau Gasol I won't question it.

At least your track record is better than Mark Jackson's personal assistant. I'll take my chances with you, bigloley.

I'll take this kid over re-signing Bargnani, I said it in the draft threads........and I'll reiterate here again.

Hell no! Porzingis needs a mentor. Someone like David West would be perfect.

i think he'll be a pau gasol with a better perimeter game; the young pau operated mostly off the low block and stretched defenses out to midrange as a counter, but never shot a solid percentage from behind the arc, only 27% career from deep. kris will be much better, but will need to put on weight and learn how to work the low block, incorporate that skill into his repertoire over time. he's probably going to be pretty good operating out of the high post early on. i want to see him use his quicks, smarts and length, read the play and rotate over to alter shots; doesn't need to outright block them, just force a contested shot attempt.

Teach him how to play defense and it should be fun to see Porzingis versus Mozgov for the next few years. Mozgov won't be able to handle him outside of the post.
Damn it feels good to be a tankster.

Why? Are you obsessed with futility? Do you love watching this franchise sink further and further into the abyss? What is wrong with you guys.

To be honest who ever we drafted outside of the Top 3 isn't going to help us right away anyway. I hope this kid isn't a fluke, but I do like what I see from him on the offensive end. His jumpers are on point and should be money in the triangle. I'm disappointed with the choice based on our needs, but optimistic on his potential. Hopefully he gets a little meat on him because he is going to be a nightmare on the defensive end.
