the only good thing about this is that the East only has 1 team in the top 5.

otherwise..the NBA just refuses to give us breaks lol...itll make it feel that much better when we turn this ship around.

well you gonna complain about something that already is...or happy about something that didnt come to pass?

boston and philly were stacked and young before the lottery and wasnt gonna change after it. I'm just happy another team in the east got a franchise prospect atm.

can still easily change depending how the draft turns out.

But now the real question is, who's stock goes up/down after workouts.

Unfortunately for us, I can see Mikal impressing a lot of teams.

Which would be great for us, because it would mean that a younger, high potential prospect would fall to us. Mikal is a nice fall back option if we can't find a higher potential prospect, but not a must have for a team in our situation, where it is more about getting the best talent in than to get in a guy that will function from day one, but may be limited. Don't get me wrong: I am fine with him at 9, but if he goes higher that'll only better our position to get a player with more upside.

yeh 4 or the top 5 picks in the lottery are in the west.

would of really sucked to face Ayton/Doncic in the east. ....obv life would be better if we were top 3. But w/e we knew we werent getting any luck in that department.

players in the top 6 have dropped back in almost every year.

Dennis smith went 9. Mudiay who was said to be top 4 went 6th.

someone always slips a bit.

Mikal will be there at 9. very few times that players that are 22 y/o go in the top 10.

We have also this: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=39825 For general NBA draft 2018 discussion. And the Knicks only discussions usually stay in the Knicks forum in a "we pick 9th"-tread, no? So I'm not sure where to go here...

Nah, just see where it is going. Irv can alway merge later or put the thread in the forum where most of the discussion fits, no? ;)

When the Knicks waste another entire year of our lives and then only get the 9th pick

Saw this quote on Twitter and said to myself this person understands me.
