Yeah, I love the fact that he can guard the basket but he did show a little offense too so I hope the Knicks push him to keep working on that midrange jumper and keep extending it and hopefully a hook shot cuz I think he can be much more than just a shot blocker. I don't think he got to show much of that in the SL with the pace of the game and sloppy play

he can't do those things at an NBA level yet but what he showed in SL will be his bread and butter fora couple years once he takes the time to understand the nuances of defense.

He has decent form on his perimeter shot. That part of his game will grow. But first, he needs experience vs NBA grade talent, learn how to read & react accordingly on d; his foul rate in sl is evident. He'll get there, just give him time.

would like to see him play next to Kanter early in the year just curious on how he defends 4s....has better tools than Kanter snd KP imo to defend the perimeter

It took me all this time to catch the “Paid In Full” reference in the thread’s title.

Does Mitchell Robinson have the same love for the game like Mitch’s character in the film?

I don't want him playing PF, please. I rather see Kanter play the 4 than Mitchell and really I don't wanna see any of that garbage. KP playing PF is about as traditional as I wanna play, even though I often talk about big lineups. I don't wanna try it with everybody. Mitchell's not gonna move KP to C someday. He's gonna be the Center

And he will be a beast.

I just want Kanter or KP playing next to mitchell

I dont play the hes a 4 or 5 game...either way theyll switch a ton

but mitchell without a doubt has more tools defending the perimeter...he adds some strength and he can legit guard 5 to 2 on switches

je just needs to learn how to defend without fouling and hit free throws to be our starting 5 of the future.

would be sick to start 2 rookies.....and I think hed be a double double guy by late year 1 into year 2. blocks he will bring from day 1.

Yeah, play Mitchell at PF this year, he can always move to center as he gains weight next year when Kanter might be gone.

it depends on who he defends at that moment. Same with KP.

with Kanter its obv that he takes the stronger of the 2..at either spot. so if we play utah..Kanter guards Favors and Mitchell takes Gobert

in today's NBA the 1-5 thing is almost gone...its guards/wings/bigs ......Mitch Kanter/KP are all bigs..whoever they guard depends on the match up. so saying "i want kanter at the 4 and mitch at the 5 instead of vice versa" doesnt make sense..its all the same...we are in a switching league.

Well keep in mind, I followed up that quote with saying I'm not really interested in either of those scenarios. We got Knox, we got Thomas and dont forget we just got Vonleh as well. Between those three who all can play PF I just dont see the need to experiment with more versions of 2 CS. Especially when they are literally 2 CS. Kantwr can't play a lick of PF in today's league and I just dont see Mitchell as that type of player either regardless of a 3pt shot video. Can he do it off the move, a screen. Can he operate in the midrange?

I just think it's wasted time when we could just place him at backup C with a starters position down the line. To me it's like trying to develop Frank at PG by playing him often at SG. Gotta get the majority of your minutes at your primary position.

mitchell mainly works on his perimeter game...dont sleep.

in a year or 2 we may have 2 7 footers that handle it and shoot it

MMR has solid mechanics

I want to see it for a small sample size based on match up in preseason.
