Okay, time for a lineup change...

Postby Nononsense » October 23, 2018, 10:05 am

PG - Burke / Frank
SG - Dotson / Trier
SF - THJ / Knox (Lance until Knox is back)
PF - Hezonja / Vonleh
C - Kanter / Mitch

Frank & Lance are too much of liabilities to start together. Perhaps we could keep one in the lineup while bringing one off the bench, but I prefer the lineup above. What Lance Thomas brings to the table can be injected and utilized in practices and from the bench. Frank's defensive presence will be a nice asset off the bench. And Baker can have several seats.

This is what should happen. I feel like Fizdale will be starting LT for the next 10 years.

I would bench Tim Hardaway Jr, I feel he is the problem, extremely selfish player, and his little sidekick Burke

Starters:
PG: Frank
SG: Courtney Lee
SF: Kevin Knox
PF: Henzonja
C: Manger

Bench:
PG: Burke
SG: Dotson
SF: THJ
PF: Noah
C: Mitchell

I would to see how a player unselfish like Lee, who plays defense, move the ball, and can penetrate plays with Frank. That's what I would look at, to find someone similar to Lee in the draft, but is a level better than Lee in every facet of the game. Your also show casing Lee the find him a home with a contented. Best knick last two years, does everything right IMO. It's clear you can't trade Thu, so start grooming his trigger happy self as a sixth man.

Player development isn't always a neat upward trend; good stretches and bad stretches. Take your lumps, stick to the plan, don't panic.

I like Burke, and am OK with Tim,but I get why some arent thrilled with them..

Burke is a shoot first PG and if so,he has to hit the open 3..27 percent wont cut it...

ThJ is another story..he doesnt do anything blatantly boneheaded, but he takes some very bad shots....

Burke will need time to hone his 3 ball. He's got an offensive game made for the Spurs. It can work, but he has to be outstanding in 2 pt efficiency.

THJ is what he is; a volume gunner. I'm just happy that he's improved his mechanics, setting his feet, has managed to be highly efficient in heavy usage from the arc. Also getting to the stripe and better effort on D.

His midrange game... Yah, a work in progress.

The quintet that is overperforming is Frank Ntilikina alongside four bench guys in Hezonja, Vonleh, Allonzo Trier and Damyean Dotson.

Interesting...

There is a mix of defense, playmaking and shooting in this one..

I still want my 2pg but with how ntili is playing, I don't know anymore. He should go watch some prigioni and landry fields videos. I saw him cutting to the basket finishing with trey burke dishing. This what I want to see more of.

Dotson has to play. Same with Hezonja over LT. We need all the three pointers we can get. This is the new nba.

I don think Burke will shoot 26% from 3 for much longer..Its possible Frank shoots 28% from 3 for much longer..Hopefully not

I like this lineup the most, very balanced but I could also do with Burke taking Mario's spot and shifting everyone one spot down.

To the panic accusers: It's not that serious. Just would like to see how a different lineup would look since this is a development year. If you think it's too early, fine but don't mistake this for panicking.

Agree. It's definitely a combination that I would be interested in seeing how they do. There are so many untapped combinations that it will be interesting to watch Fiz play with the options.

All I know is Lance is better off coming off the bench until he can hit an open 3. I love the D, but he's shooting 3-13 in 4 games this season and that's not going to cut it.

Lance serves zero purpose starting he is what he is and that's a bad basketball player

And Frank needs to start at PG time to show what you got
