Bargnani for Asik

Postby washingtonparkjones » October 10, 2013, 8:46 am

Not that I want to give up Bargnani already, but Omer would be great for us.

I think this makes both teams better. Bargnani complements Howard, and Asik solves our defense issues.

Nah, Bargnani should be a great fit with Melo and Chandler while I don't know about Chandler and Asik in the same frontcourt. Way too early for such ideas IMO. Let's see what Bargs has to offer this year before thinking about trading him.

meh, just speculating after reading that Asik wants a trade.

Asik and Chandler may overlap on skill sets, but having both means we always have a defensive presence in the paint. Plus, Asik is a better post defender and more physical, which covers what happened with Indy.

I'm fine giving Bargs a chance, but given a choice I'd take Asik.

All things being equal I prefer Asik. That said, he wouldn't be any happier playing with Chandler than Howard. I think Bargnani will be OK though.

IDK, there's a post-Chandler future for him here. Howard is a permanent fixture.

Asik's great but he wants to start, not play back up to Chandler. That's why he wants out in Houston.

exactly.

if we are to swing a deal, then it'll be for a pg; that's our biggest need.
