Memphis trades:
Chandler Parsons
2021 1st rounder (first available)

Parsons contract was a fuckup and it seems like he's alienated the team. Lance and Lee fit their style and are solid vets. Parson's contract expires the same time as Noahs so the Knicks will be in cap hell until then. Parsons is probably one of the most undesirable contracts in the league, if the Knicks can get a pick for taking on anyone it's Parsons.

id rather not compound the problem of noahs contract with Parsons.

I'd shed Melo's deal if I can. And keep Lance/Lee/Noah since veterans in a young locker room are valueable.

plus we suck on defense...i wouldnt trade the only average wing defenders we have for a player that hasnt played in a while AND wasnt a good defender when he was playing.

We get a pick and Parsons will let the tank roll next year. I'm not against it. But man thats a rough cap prospectus for the next 3 years. No one worth signing is probably going to come here under this regime anyway though, so yeah. I'm game.
