When: ESPN @ 8 P.M. EDT before Detroit-Boston Game 1.

Facts (Thanks to rtn393): "Knicks win draft tie-breaker over LA Clippers. We are officially the 5th worst team. This means the Knicks will get one more ping-pong ball than LA for the May 20th lottery, despite having an identical 23-59 record. Also, if neither the Clippers or Knicks land in the top 3, then the Knicks will pick one spot of ahead of the Clippers. In the most likely scenario in which no team behind the Knicks and Clippers lands in the top 3, the Knicks will pick 5th and the Clippers will pick 6th."

Also, we cannot pick fourth. After the top 3 are drawn, draft order is based off record. Since we're 5th worst, we can only go to 1-3 or stay at 5 or drop. Then sixth worst (Clippers) can either jump to 1-3 or pick 6 or below, not being able to select 4 or 5.

(Numbers above based off one year ago when the sixth and seventh seed were tied, but they are close to right on/thanks Spree#8)

Don't be too high on a top pick and blame someone, as the numbers speak for themselves.

If you guys want, let's put the NYKFP chatroom to use during the lottery.

NYKFP's own tommydee will be live at the lottery bringing you a full, live report.

Not bad. Looks better if you look at the gross odds of moving up.

29.2% chance of a top three pick.
26.1% chance of 5th
35.9% chance 6th
8.4% chance of 7th

I played the lotto game on ESPN until the Knicks won. And God that took me around 20 times, but I finally got it. And I haven't closed the page, and won't until after tomorrow. Hope this brings some luck.

3. Memphis - K Love or B Lopez
4. Seattle - B Lopez or A Randolph
5. Minnesota - OJ Mayo or J Bayless
6. New York - J Bayless or D Gallinari

wouldn't giving the Bucks another #1 pick be cruel and unusual punishment for the league? I mean, the Bucks keep getting these extremely high picks and poof, it's the same shit-o-thon year after year.

1. Bulls (it just seems right in my head for some reason) - rose
2. Miami - beasley
3. Memphis - mayo
4. seattle - bayless
5. minnesota - lopez
6. knicks - Galinari

mike miller and kirk hinrich will become expendable. And that's when the knicks swoop in....

Yeah i think either the bulls or the bucks will break the top3. But the bucks would be a lock for picking rose, there's no chance they pick beasley.

How insane is it that I am doing the same thing? It took me only three spins on ESPN for the Knicks to win. I made it my wallpaper!

Tonight's the night baby! I believe that even if we miss on the top 2 picks, there is going to be SOME movement with the Knicks between now and draft night.

If the Bucks get a top 2 pick I'm going to hurt someone. They shouldnt even get picks anymore since they obviously cant do anything with them.

A gut feeling tells me that Memphis gets the first pick and we get second. Wouldnt mind that.

Could Stern be so dumb that he helps out the Grizzlies with a top 2 pick to acquire Derrick Rose?

Rose did attend the U of Memphis & they played many games on the Grizz home floor. The Grizz also pulled the trigger on the laughable Gasol trade... making them an expansion team again.
