yeh he is slow...but doesnt need to be fast

if he makes his shot/handle lethal...he would do wonders to his game

along with finishing at the rim since he's not a high flyer either. but legit its 3 things he needs to excel in.

1. shooting
2. handle
3. finishing at the rim

im looking for 1 of those things to be a strength to his game this season but slight improvments to all 3

Frank has tools you can't teach

and he lacks tools you can't gain

so if he gains skill...along with the tools he has..it can over power the tools he doesnt.

Yeah.

At shooting guard. Hes never gonna be a high assist guy.

The kid is trying his best. But enough with the point guard talk. PG is the most difficult position to play in the NBA. He could be super solid at the 2. Defensively let him guard whoever. On offense he needs to be a wing player.

Well said.
I believe this is why Ntili is so frustrating, at times.

You can’t teach size, length.
You can’t teach heart, passion.

These are all attributes of the top point guards in the league. Since I don’t believe Ntili will ever be known as one of the top point guards in the league, I can’t see him improving in any of these categories.

The best I hope is for Ntili to be surrounded by talented scorers and learning their sweet spots on the court and how to get the ball to them at the right moment.

In my humble opinion, his ceiling is becoming an All-NBA defender and among the league leaders in assists.

Boom. Simply move him to off guard because it HELPED him. He was able to shoot, dribble, pass and finish better.

Koop. You’re willing to replace THJ at shooting guard with Ntili, even though THJ is probably the only other scorer that can average 20 per game? I don’t think that’s best for the team.

I mean, it’s not likely that Ntili can lock down a shooting guard that averages 20+.

If Ntili has the court vision that most believe he does, then why can’t he average 8+ assists per game? When I say “ceiling,” I’m saying that maybe he should focus on those things, cause those things [defense too, of course] are most likely his strengths.

I’m not necessarily saying it’s written in stone.

Joe had a string of seasons where he either averaged 20 or close to 20.

A) because he only plays 21minutes per night. His per 36 average is still only 5.3 but he's also playing at SG most nights.

B)he has a tendency to feed the post more often than penetrate and kick.

In either case Frank's a very good passer regardless of assist numbers. I still want him to average more but I think with the way he plays like you said 8 is a reachable expectation. Typically Pgs just like him are averaging like 6-8. Also he's gotta push the pace. One of my biggest pet peeves with Frank is hes always slowing the ball down to run a half court play. I swear, Larry Brown would love this guy. But anyway, if my handle was suspect the last thing I wanna do is slow things down to a game of skill. I wanna hide my handle in constant fast break. But also KP was our only real star until Beasley becameour defacto scorer. I'm telling you Frank just loves feeding bigs who wanna attack the paint. Gotta break him outta that and I think this year he'll be forced to.

If you want to tank but wouldn't mind making the playoffs, what difference does it make where Nitti plays?

His D is better than Thj. Thj's offense is better than FN. Coach playing guards in positionless bb means it really doesn't matter where he plays. Probably matters more who he guards.
