Hey hes 7''1 and the Knicks already have enough offensive fire power with Marbury, Tim Thomas, Houston(if hes stays), or proly Stackhouse(i think hes coming here). And we also have a good bench and i was hearing Isiah talk on MSG about him being satisfied with what they got and that they will try to make the best out of what they have now and will try to improve. Those words are probably meant to Dermarr Johnson,Mike Sweetney, and Nazr Mohammed. these 3 players have a lot of potential and still havent learned much about the game, i think they will be great for the Knicks next season.

Back to Jerome James, this guy i think is 29 so what, but he is athletic and dunks a lot. Believe me ive seen him play with the Sonics. Dont expect to be some Shaq or Yao but he can improve with the Knicks and become a puzzle piece to success. All this talk about us needing a power forward that can get us some points in the paint, We got Sweetney, Mohammed, and Baker. I think Baker is going to try his best to give the Knicks all hes got so they can have success during the future. Theres no doubt Sweetney will improve next season and probably even become the Knicks starting Power Forward. Mohammed is a good player he jus needs to polish his game and make himself known in the paint.

I heard of a trade on realgm < kurt thomas for Jerome James and 12th pick.We need a center and isiah would pick up a good first rounder but i think we can get more for kurt thomas,I wouldn't mind the trade though.

Seattle's been trying to get rid of him for 2 years. He can't even get ahead of Vitaly Potapenko in the rotation.

Leave him alone. Sign Doleac.

james is a no frills version of nazr. he's not as good and his contract sucks.

i wonder what package isiah is putting together for stackhouse and walker. i can't not see those 2 in ny next year. maybe a package of t thomas, kt, fwilliams, & deke.

I cannot imagine stack and walker on the same team. If they had Jason Kidd as PG and Larry Brown as coach, they STILL wouldn't work as teamates.

Unfortunately James does his best work in front of the buffet table. He's got Felton Spencer/James Donaldson written all over him.

Peter Vecsey said in the Post that the Knicks were talking James and the #12 pick for KT.

James has a salary of $5.4 million that expires next year  He also gives the team some more size, which can't really hurt.

The 12th pick could land a project like Josh or JR Smith that Isiah had hoped for. Or it could end up being someone like Kirk Snyder, who could come in now and contribute and act as insurance against an injury to Houston or a failure to re-sign DerMarr.

Losing KT would clear up space for Sweetney and Nazr.

Doesn't sound like too bad of a deal to me.

'Big Snacks' that is great. This deal is good for the long term. The Knicks are not going anywhere for at least 2 years. We get rid of KT, get a valuable expiring contract and a cheap youthful talent. What is not to like? The soncis screwed us once upon a time, it is time to return the favor :hammer:

if jerome "buffet" james contract is expiring it's not a bad deal. with collison coming back they don't really need a pick, especially if they're getting thomas and maybe moving ray allen.

though i don't think the salaries of james plus #12 fit with kt. they may have to throw in sesay or somebody else.
