Here's an expert from the Sun-Sentinel...

**While word is the Heat does not have interest in waived Bulls forward Chris Jefferies, the team could yet return to the personnel market should the Knicks arrange a buyout of forward Shandon Anderson.*

So if Shandon is bought out, here's one team that has interest!

That means nothing to us. If we buy out Shandon's contract, James Dolan will have to pay the remaining $30+ million he has on his contract. Whether he's picked up and placed on a roster by the Miami Heat or placed on the backseat of a 300 pound biker riding a Harley across the Hudson Bridge is meaningless to me.

At least, if did get time on the Heat, some of his play might offset Shaquille O'neal's play at center. Shaq grabs an offesive rebound, kicks it out to Shandon, Shandon then drives towards the basket like a fourth grader getting time at the end of a varsity game only because the outcome of the game is already decided, he loses the ball at the foul line and starts our break.

callkeira, it is not 30+ million, it's 24 million and it could probably end up being less than 24 million if Shandon can get another team to pay 1 million for him.

Aderson couldn't drop 30 points on anyone if they paid him! Oh wait they do pay him millions.
His only chance at 30 points is at the black jack table when he hit 2 queens with a king!

at this point, i don't think Shandon could get 30 points on his driver's license....

Anderson couldn't score 30 pts with himself in a video game on rookie difficulty vs the clippers with 15 minute quarters after adjusting his rating to 99...on his birthday.

I wonder what kind of money do the Heat have left. If they don't have any exceptions left, they can only offer him the vets' minimum, which is subsided by the NBA so it doesn't cost them that much. If they could promise Shandon a 2 or 3 year contract, the negotations for the buyout would not start at $24 million but at 2 million less or whatever the value of his new contract was. If Shandon spends the next 2-3 years sitting on the Knicks' bench, he'll find it hard to get any new contract at all. Getting more PT is also an argument, I mean every player hates to be glued to the bench. So basically Shandon would have some motivation to accept a buyout, even if it meant losing some money in the process. Maybe $15-18 million would do. Though that is a lot anyway.

the thread should be "Heat have interest in Shandon but have no interest in his contract, as no other team has".

Anderson can't even score 30 on his SAT

Hell, if he was Mr. Anderson, the sequel would change him into an evil
machine that will be overturned by Morpheus, who is the true One.

Depends will make him spokesperson once he gets a buyout. The new slogan will be "Even the Utah star needs Depends.."

He grabs rebounds like his dating lifestyle.. doesn't know which team he plays for.

Everytime Anderson shoots from the perimeter, the cheerleaders shout 'Blanks!'

Nah man l think depending on how long the Heat sign him for he can score 30 points in a season. thats only about 8 points a game. Haha wait its SA. Yeah he wont! Also, l dunno why you guys are laughing at the fact that the Heat want him thats a good thing. Think of it this way, in the playoffs if the make it (HEAT) would have to depend on Anderson commin off the bench. What does that say.But I cant wait. Knicks/Heat renew the Rivalry in the playoffs. Haha Heat up by 4 Anderson comes in and the Knicks up by 10. He sucks!
